Voilà bientôt 3 ans que la boutique de Presque Parfait est ouverte et en jeune padawan du ecommerce que je suis, je dois dire qu’il s’en est passé des choses. Ça fait un moment que je n’avais pas fait de billet sur ma petite entreprise, le monde du ecommerce et de l’entreprise plus généralement. J’ai essayé de mettre de l’ordre dans mes idées et si possible éviter le « c’était mieux avant ». En fait je ne pense pas que c’était mieux avant, mais je pense qu’on ne plus se lancer comme avant.
Ces derniers mois ont été assez redoutables chez bon nombre d’ecommerçants. Avec dans le lot quelques belles marques (dont certaines avaient passé le cap significatif des 5 ans d’existence). Je pense à Ben & Facto, Decate ou plus récemment Akibag et Look-Zippy. De jolies marques avec de bons produits et autant de patrons passionnés avec une envie de bien faire. Des marques qui ne faisaient pas grand bruit lors de leur existence et qui déclenchent des réactions passionnées lorsqu’elles annoncent leur fermeture (et les soldes qui vont avec).
Pour Presque Parfait, tout va bien même si je ressens un changement depuis quelques mois, une croissance moins folle. On en est plus aux 30% de croissance naturelle des deux premières années. En 2013, pour bien des petits avec qui j’ai échangé, on ne parle même plus de croissance mais « juste » de faire aussi bien que 2012. Un changement de paradigme dans un secteur où l’on considérait la croissance comme acquise.
Elle semble maintenant loin la période 2009/2010 où les boutiques fleurissaient avec dans le lot de très chouettes projets. Dans un pays où l’entrepreneuriat n’a jamais été simple, le web était l’alternative parfaite qui a donné une sacrée bouffée d’oxygène à ceux qui, comme moi, ont eu envie de tenter le coup « pour voir ». Aujourd’hui la donne n’est plus exactement la même. Bien sûr, il y a eu trop d’ecommerces, trop d’envies et de rêves d’eldorado. Mathématiquement, l’offre est supérieure à la demande et il fallait bien que le tri opère. Mais ce n’est pas tout.
L’acquisition de trafic, le nerf de la guerre, est de plus en plus réservée aux géants. Les barrières à l’entrée, hier si réduites, sont aujourd’hui des palissades infranchissables à moins de gros chèques. L’offre tend à se regrouper chez les gros, avec l’absorption massive des petits aux travers des market-places. Difficile aujourd’hui de se lancer sans budget, avec le bouche à oreille comme vecteur principal de communication. Le buzz a remplacé les idées, le clash a supplanté les discussions. Les blogs se dépeuplent, les échanges se raréfient et sont troqués contre des « j’aime », au mieux. L’attention est désormais la ressource la plus rare et Facebook en est devenu le tenancier. Difficile dans ce contexte de fédérer autour d’un projet, d’un produit ou d’une idée sans un budget conséquent.
Je ne veux pas sembler alarmiste ni saper la motivation de porteurs de projets. Seulement, les règles ont évolué et il vaut mieux le savoir. Je pense que ce sera bénéfique à terme mais c’est le moment de réfléchir avant d’agir et de se montrer prudent. Pour ma part, cette année aura un peu plus renforcé ma motivation et m’aura forcé à être plus créatif. On a de sacrés projets dans les cartons et ma petite entreprise est bien décidée à ne pas connaitre la crise !
Je mets donc un commentaire et pas un like :) C’est très vrai tout ça, pourtant je trouve que la plupart des ecommerçants sont positifs et contents de leurs chiffres autour de moi. Alors intox ? Ou bien ils ne voient pas la réalité ?…

Et en effet même des boutiques sérieuses avec une idée sympa ferment leurs portes.
Quand je vois certaines boutiques avec un concept bien plus novateur que le mien et surtout un budget bien plus conséquent qui disparaissent forcément je me pose pas mal de questions… Et puis durant ces 3 années d’autres idées/projets apparaissent et donc encore plus de questions :)

après ton constat a sûrement du vrai. Concernant le trafic search, Google avantage les « gros » c’est certain. Pour le reste je pense que tu es dans une phase de stabilisation. C’est normal que les premières années l’augmentation du CA est plus important que les années qui suivent, c’est mathématique. Et si tes collègues font de même c’est peut-être parce que leur projet a la même maturité ?
Pour continuer à monter et à bien monter, il faut se retrousser les manches encore et encore. Bon courage !

Les enseignes absorbent l’essentiel de l’activité et rendent extrêment difficile la visibilité des plus petits. Dans le prêt à porter les jeunes créateurs sont invisibles.
Mais il faut garder la foi surtout quand on fait des choses aussi abouties que toi!
